Saturday, February 28, 2009 ( @ 10:10 PM ) I was really tired out today. I have no idea why, i was really sian when sectionals came. yuLS didn't come again today, that makes it a month already. So that means i've known my juniors for approximately 1 month also. They're more than just juniors and friends to me, i guess i see them as students also, my students. Ruan is harder to teach than expected, if i had 1 year to go through all the basics i wouldn't mind, but now i have to cram something that took me 1 year odd to learn, and teach it to 3 totally new juniors in ruan, in 9 weeks. Ben says its impossible, almost everyone says its impossible. But if there is anything i believe in, is that nothing is impossible, no i am not endorsing nike, but i really believe that nothing is impossible. I thank God i'm not president or vice-president, being an SL is enough work already when the instructor is not around, and even more so when i have to conduct self-sectionals. I need to strength to teach Lord. Grant me that strength. I do not want these juniors to think CO is boring, or that they're not going to play for SYF, i believe they can make it. And i want to help them. Its kinda like an obligation i guess. Thank goodness they're a hardworking bunch, i guess they really want to play for SYF, hopefully they will. 0 comments Wednesday, February 25, 2009 ( @ 6:18 PM ) 1 comments Sunday, February 22, 2009 ( @ 6:28 PM ) Anyway, went for fusion with irvin mike and joyce after that. And it was CROWDED like MAD, i guess it's because planetshakers were leading worship, the atmosphere was quite high last night. The speaker was matt fielder or something like that, his message was abit erm... haha. Very funny guy la, but the trouble with humour is, the seriousness is lost. So yeah. Anyway yeah, great time of worship and praise. So today planetshakers came to YM, so there was round 2 of singing my lungs out, this time the speaker was the bass guitarist. Coolios. Very tired now, need to study for chem!!! 0 comments Friday, February 20, 2009 ( @ 9:37 PM ) On thursday was the first time i went for my zhong ruan lessons with zhangls. She is really really nice and friendly, and she has this really really cute dog who went berserk at the sight of me, and he/she was wearing a shirt! I was like... ROFL! Anyway, it took me a whopping 1hr and 20mins to get there, and when lesson ended at around 2130, it took me only, 30-45 mins to get back. Thanks to the rush hour. Great traffic system Singapore has. And today, i just came back not too long ago from my first maths tuition, the teacher was really er, he looked quite serious la, but never mind, soon he'll be like a friend... Haha, oh and.. made a new friend today, found out that he missed ACJC by a bit. And tomorrow there's CO, then fusion after... maybe... 0 comments Monday, February 16, 2009 ( @ 3:31 PM ) 0 comments Sunday, February 15, 2009 ( @ 8:03 AM ) So on Friday the school celebrated Valentine's day (actual day, yesterday), there were dedications going on and stuff and people giving sweets, chocolates, balloons and flowers to other people, V day in AC is quite something. Of course i got some stuff, and i gave some stuff to people as well, or maybe just a person. HAHA but yeah, hey! It's V day right? Once a year only! And yesterday (saturday) Was the first CO that the j1's came for, as in... the new ones. So sgq gave tanboyue 5 new juniors, including yawen and jeanette, the other few are like, mostly guzheng players. I was quite impressed at the speed they took to learn the way to hold the pick (OR CHIP as huishan calls it) and play simple things like tan tiao and so on. Their sense of rhythm was basically good. Sorry jeanette for neglecting you! So anyway, all of them are in ruan =) i shall make tanboyue the best section in ACCO, and if it already is, i'll just maintain it! Dinner after CO was the first occasion of its kind. Since it was V day, i guess it gave us an excuse to go somewhere really insanely far, and so where did we go? You guessed it! Changi Airport! Right on the the other side of sunny Singapore. The 12 of us all bought popeyes, but since there was no space there, we went to the viewing mall, sat in a circle, and ate. I think it was really quite funny, and apparently... All the passerby's thought so too. but what the heck! Its V day! And so it was a good time of fun and laughter. CO should do these things more often. Oh and, it was sheena's birthday! So naturally we celebrated it! 0 comments Tuesday, February 10, 2009 ( @ 11:18 PM ) I have 40 minutes left of being 17, and i've got SPA tmr. Maybe i should spend it studying. But i'll say some stuff... There's only 1 thing i want for my birthday, but i know i can't get it because it'd be really selfish of me, unless you want it too, so if you want it, i'll give it. What i want now, i don't expect to get. But i will still want. Oh and, there's CO on my birthday too... great... 0 comments Saturday, February 07, 2009 ( @ 9:44 PM ) 1. you're bored to death 2. you have a plain boring instrument 3. you have a wad of blu-tack 4. you're really really bored to death... ![]() 0 comments Friday, February 06, 2009 ( @ 9:19 PM ) Okay, these past few days, i have seen people emo like shit, and then get so happy they stone... Well, it's basically like this, I have 3 juniors, or rather, 3 juniors that i actually talk to. So right, they all appealed in through CO, on tuesday, 4 Erhu people got their call and their appeals were successful through CO, so i went down to the office to check (for the sake of the 3 juniors) and the office people said that 4 people is already alot and they may not accept any more appeals for CO (this was the next day which was wednesday) So anyway, i told the 3 of them that they may not get in cos 4 people already did, then.. WASEH! All emo like crap la, and being the guy i am, i was pretty clueless as to what to do, and it went to the extent that 1 of them even came down to school to talk to the conductor, which just goes to show how much she wanted to get in, then the other 2 were basically wrecks la. But LO AND BEHOLD!!! On Thursday, 2 of them got the call! And they were like, okay 1 of them was damn damn damn happy, i think... The other was so happy that she was stoned. I bet they couldn't believe, and neither could I, but nevertheless i was happy for them... To the last one that didn't get in: It's not over, ACJC isn't everything, in the end we all sit for the same A level examinations, it doesn't matter which JC we go to, but rather the effort we bother to put into our studies to achieve our goals, we do not let the JC compromise our goals. You've had a tough week, waiting like hell, getting worried, breaking down, and i bet even now you still feel sad. But it's okay, all is not lost, and your time in ACJC wasn't a waste either was it? All the best in everything you do. 0 comments Sunday, February 01, 2009 ( @ 8:09 AM ) Jeanette: I hope you get in, i really do. You have no idea what it was like playing ruan by myself, it was really, boring for one, and a bit pressurizing as i have to play louder etc etc by myself, so practicing with you has been a really nice change and i hope there will be more to come. But in case you don't come in... "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11 ALL THE BEST! Yawen: Hey, although you didn't really get much time to spend with my section, at least if you get in you can! Haha, and no la, Tanboyue is not all about bridge and pool, though we play those sometimes, but we are also the best group in ACCO! (in case you haven't noticed) As SL i intend to keep that up and not let it fall during my time, so i'll train you for sure, make sure you can play the SYF songs etc etc, and of course, play some bridge as well, haha. Well, i hope you get in to, it'll be really great to have another addition to the tanbo family. And if you don't, don't be sad, you can still sms your oh-so-wonderful SL! And SA's not that bad la i think... These are the 2 people i hope will get in. Oh and of course, Qiaohui, cos she's really fun at all, but abit blur, okay actually VERY blur cos she didn't put ACJC as her first choice which is a HUGE factor, but i still hope she'll get in... Well, since all my posts the last month had no pictures at all (cos i don't camwhore for several reasons) I'll just start with this... ![]() 0 comments |
