Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; -John 11:25

I just went for my uncle Frank's wake, and this was the verse that was shown there. It set me thinking really hard, what does believing in Him mean? Like... Just believing? Or is it leading that christian life? Cos from what i see around me, there are people who believe in God, but don't act in that manner, will they also live eternally?

Anyway, i heard my uncle Frank died in the hospital at around 1am or so. I can't imagine that, it's really heartbreaking. He was blind and already reaching the end. You know how like... people can tell when they're going to pass on? Ya, so my uncle Frank was lying in bed, knowing he was going to die, he probably called out for my aunt Ellen (wife) or one of his sons or daughters, but no one was there simply because it was already past 12 midnight, so there he was, a blind man reaching his end, calling out for loved ones that were not there... Then, people always say they see a light or something right? So i imagine even though he was blind physically, he probably saw this light (spiritually) and from this light, came a hand... Jesus's hand... And quoting Revelations 3:20, Jesus would probably say, come and sup with me, next to my Father's throne. And uncle Frank would reach out, and as he rises up to heaven, his clothes and all his worldly possessions all fade away. And as he leaves behind his loved ones, the weight of physical death eating his life away is alleviated and he is born again, to live the eternal life that God has promised to his followers.

Uncle Frank was a good man, i still remember the time before he was struck with Parkinsons disease, he was a tall, fit, able-bodied man... I believe he even carried me when i was small. He was a kind man, lived a life for God, and lived very humbly. When parkinsons took over his life, his movements became slower, and his speech impaired, he fell often. He always knew what to say, but never could say it out due to the loss of control over certain nerves. But whatever he intended to say, i believe it will be beneficial to anyone, or something good.

Uncle Frank, i will miss you... I'm so sorry i didn't come to see you at the hospital.

Just because you study with someone doesn't mean you like him/her
Just because you go home with someone doesn't mean you like him/her
Just because you go out with that someone doesn't mean you like him/her
Just because you sms that someone alot doesn't mean you like him/her

I learnt that the hard way

Only when you think that someone is really special and means more than anything to you, then only do you LOVE that someone.

Well, so after 6 years, it came down to a GOLD... Again, frankly i was high for about 5 seconds, till i realised, "oh! Gold again?" Anyway, i thought other CO members would be hyped about it, but i guess not, the result of AJCO must've killed it (they got Gold with Honours). Anyhows, c'mon guys! We're like.. the smallest CO out there pls! And yet we still got a Gold (sounds like SYF'07). And so many schools got GwHs anyway, so like.. Gold is more like silver this year...

After SYF went back to AC, and went out with the CO, well... actually it kinda got down to just tanbo+hanzi cos there was no space at swensons at that point in time, so we went to NYDC and met up with the CO after dinner.

I'm actually very proud of my tanbo section, and of course... especially the J1's. It's been like... how long since you guys learnt ruan? Like... 3 months? It's really amazing and still in the end can get Gold for SYF, kudos to all of you. And jeanette's been a great help too of course (:

Well, my CO journey is ending, well... at least in the education system, of course i'll take my skills outside also.

And so! I realised that weekends are not really weekends anymore, and holidays are well, not holidays either...

And so here it is... In less than 20 hours, my past 6 years in CO as a ruanner will be put to the final test as an orchestra musician. This will be my third and last SYF, the last two resulted in Golds for both, hopefully this last SYF will result in something even better. For the past SYFs, ACS(BR) and i'm sure ACJC were not considered real threats in the Chinese Orchestra circle, but not this time, it's time to show what and Anglo-Chinese Chinese Orchestra can really do. (sounds weird eh?)

Hard to believe it's all going to be over soon. The experiences were unforgettable.

Okay, i haven't blogged in EONS. Sorry bout that guys, but no time no time! CO practices really drain me out, and i'm usually not home till about like... 8pm or so.

Anyhow, yesterday was Saturday, so there was CO, CO practices are getting better and better each time, hopefully this Wednesday it'll all pay off! Ok, so back to yesterday, went out after CO with uhm... Huishan, Yawen, Serene, Jake, Jiahuan, Weihui, Hanzi, Joyce and mike. Went to vivocity to have dinner, followed by a movie titled "Horsemen" Which is quite cool i think cos of the biblical reference, but it was quite nonsense still, and my dear junior actually CRIED! Even when it was supposed to be suspense thriller! Who cries while watching suspense thrillers?!?! Anyway, after the movie went to macs to chill abit and fu en joined us soon after... This will be my last day going out ):
